What I'm Doing to Help

Well, other than applying for teaching jobs for the fall, I am doing what I can online to earn some extra money. I was going to work a second job, but with being pregnant and working a full time job as it is, I'm already exhausted. Lol. So I am working with a few different websites to earn some extra money. I will post the links for them, they're pretty awesome!

I have alredy received checks from them this site, VERY legit!

I have not gotten a check yet, but I have earned $9.05 so far!

So far I have earned $15.50... super easy!!

Like I said, these websites you can earn cash, they don't offer payouts until you get to $20.00 but honestly, it isn't hard to get to $20.00 if you put in some time and effort. I've been kind of lazy with the sites, but even with being lazy I've still earned quite a bit!

Some Ranting..

This is just a random rant/comment that I had with myself when in the shower. I am fully aware that being $37,822.86 in debt really isn't bad compared to a lot of people that are that in debt with JUST school loans. So I want to go over a normal month for us, bill-wise/income wise.

My income for month: about $1,120
Gary's income for month: about $200 (should be about $800 but child support takes most of it)

Total Income: $1,320

Bills:
Rent: $560
Car: $370
School Loan: $120
Discover: $90
Citibank 1: $190
Citibank 2: $ 32
Electricty: $75
Cable/Internet: $75

Total Bills: $1512

Total Short just on Bills Monthly: $192

Of course none of this includes gas for the car or for groceries, so about $350-$400 SHORT a month, that is what we are borrowing from my parents monthly. Luckily the Citibank 2 card will be going away after the next payment, And with Gary working extra hours, that will surely help. Plus he is about to become a manager, so that will help too. Will it be $350-400 help? Probably not, but even if it cuts that in half, thats less that we're borrowing from mom and dad. Whew.... now everything is pretty much out there and out in the open!

Wow Thats Scary

So now that I have everything all laid out in front of me, its a big smack in the face to know that I went from being just in debt with car payments to over $30,000 in debt, and all this in the past year. I feel that tonight and tomorrow I will be updating quite a bit so that I can get as much history as I can on here for everyone to read!

An awesome plus for right now, Gary (Fiancee) is now working between 38 and 40 hours a week instead of the 25 that he was working in the past, so that will help to bring in some extra money. Plus I have applied to a few schools to teach again in the fall. If I get a teaching job, that will help us tremndously. I don't want to get my hopes up, so I'm trying not to.

In the meantime, I'm doing a few things, I am using quite a few online websites to earn some extra money, and am little by little putting bits and pieces into an emergency fund. My goal is for $500 to start with. Then we'll move from there. I have also gotten back into the habit of cutting coupons, but only for things that we use already. No buying extras just because we have a coupon. Plus because I am pregnant, we are with the WIC program, so we are receiving help with some of our groceries.

Also, all 3 credit cards are chillin in the freezer. Litterally. If they're put away, we can't use them. It works quite well. I did break the discover out this month though to charge a 35 lb bag of dog food, dog treats, and a few other things. Oh yeah, did I forget to mention that we have a puppy? We adopted him before we found out I was pregnant. Wonderful huh?

What Happened?

So within the past year instead of having just $11,000 in debt from my car payment, I now owe the following:

Car: $10,226.78
Discover Card: $4,411.49
Citi Card #1: $9,792.25
Citi Card #2: $32.97

Plus I have gotten engaged and we are getting married next month at the courthouse, and have thus inherited my fiancee's debt as well:

Child Support: $8,765.86
School Loans: $9,005.00

So needless to say, Our total debt is: $37,822.86. Not to mention I am pregnant and we are expecting in Novemeber. I used to be a teacher, but now work at a vet. hosptial making $9 an hour, and Gary (my fiancee) works at a fast food restaurant making $7 an hour, but he is also paying child support for 3 children as well. We have VERY little income compared to what we owe, but my parents are helping, and we're chipping away at stuff a little at a time.
